Max payne kung fu mod

I guess part of the question would be how you balance the two combat styles. I think Max Payne could be the real influence on the TPS combat, with some parkour thrown in for bullet avoidance. Elements from GoT, such as the general lethality of the combat, the timed blocks rather the icon-telegraphed counters, and the need to really react to enemy movesets may help alleviate that (especially with a lack of Arkham Gadgets). Freeflow combat has never been good at boss fights.

The Arkham-esque freeflow combat would be great for fulfilling that Superhuman combat fantasy and the Wire-Fu moves could make for some killer finishers, but I don't think that alone would be able to replicated the one-on-one fights of the Matrix films. So what would your ideal Matrix game be like, if it were made today? For me, I think an open world Megacity would be a given in todays climate, with a mix of melee action and Max Payne-style TPS shooting.įor melee combat, I could honestly see something like a mix of Arkham style combat with something like Ghosts of Tsushima. The series seems like it's almost a perfect fit for the medium, but past results have been mixed (despite my personal nostalgia love for Enter the Matrix and Path of Neo).

So with the new Matrix film getting its trailer today, it's got me wondering what a modern Matrix game would look like.
